Advocate / Case Manager (Victim Gaps)

We are looking for a seasoned Advocate / Case Manager that can work
“magic”with individuals that may “fall through the cracks”
of our victim services network.



The job: This is a new position specifically created to identify and address gaps in victim services in our community. The well-qualified applicant will have two years’ experience and a deep understanding of child abuse, domestic violence, sexual assault, family dynamics, sex trafficking and child development. An understanding of complex trauma is helpful. Applicants who are currently trained domestic violence and sexual assault counselors or advocates are strongly encouraged to apply. Bilingual, bi-cultural Spanish is a plus.

Coordinate and manage cases that may include multiple community partners, manage an emergency fund according to established guidelines and regulations, and provide services in a “wraparound” manner. Effectively engage a broad spectrum of individuals including those with challenges or barriers, the homeless, have a mental illness or substance abuse problem that is contributing to their victimization or making it difficult to access mainstream victim services. Transportation of clients is part of the job.

This position will serve as a member of the Commercially Sexually Exploited Children (CSEC) Child Advocate Team that responds when a child is rescued from sex trafficking and participates in the CSEC Task Force Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) to provide a community response for the victim. Strong understanding of sex trafficking preferred.

Must understand how to effectively collaborate with other organizations, and be able to think outside the box to bridge gaps in victim services. Provides administrative support for the Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) meetings and the Sexual Assault Forensic Examiners (SAFE) team. Develops meaningful reports of identified gaps, project services and outcomes.

The details: Salary range starts at $33,280, depending on experience. Work schedule is generally weekdays, 8:30 – 4:30. Occasional evenings based on need.
